Lee hospital chief sees double profit in HCA deal

This article was published following the LMHS Community Healthcare Symposium on September 26, 2006, shortly after their announcement of the acquisition of the HCA hospitals in Lee County.

Anti-Trust Opinion: Shortly after the acquisition of the HCA hospitals by LMHS, local physicians sought a legal opinion from a nationally recognized legal firm. Their analysis indicated that this action was legal and authorized on the basis of the enabling legislation for Lee Memorial Health System.
